How we label paid placement

When a practice pays for Featured placement, every listing that practice appears in carries a Featured label with the words paid placement beneath it, and that label links here. The practice also sorts above unpaid listings in its city.

Paying does not change a credential status, does not change how many patients we route, and does not remove or downrank anyone else. Those are the only three things a patient could reasonably assume money buys on a directory, so we say plainly that it does not.

Verification is free for every surgeon, sourced from public board data, and shown with its source and date on every profile whether or not anyone pays us.
